Minimum Inhibitory Concentration Antimicrobial Test

Minimum Inhibitory Concentration Antimicrobial Test

  • 20000

MIC Test Summary:
•    This is a 24 hour qualitative broth-based assay for the evaluation of the growth-inhibiting (biostatic) activity of liquid antimicrobial agents.
•    Challenge microorganisms are used from fresh cultures.
•    Dilutions of the antimicrobial agent are made with the appropriate broth media for each challenge organism tested and all are inoculated with a standardized volume of culture broth so that the final concentration is ~500,000 cfu/ml.
•    Standard incubation time for this test is 18-24 hours.  Custom contact times are welcome upon request.
•    All tests run following GLP.
•    Each test sample will be tested in triplicate to ensure precision.

MIC Test Sample:
•    Submit at least 100ml (or equiv) of each antimicrobial agent to be tested.
